Vivian Irene Peters, 71, of Eldora, died from natural causes on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the Mayo Clinic - St. Mary?s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Vivian was born October 3, 1935 in Cyril, Oklahoma, daughter of Woodrow and Mary Dell (Camp) Stamper. She graduated from the Rush Springs high School in 1953 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. On April 13, 1959 she was united in marriage to Harlin D. Peters in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. They had been married 48 years. Vivian worked for the Dunn Law firm in Eldora for many years and then later worked for the Hardin County Social Services before retiring. Vivian enjoyed quilting, sewing, embroidery and appliquAC.. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her trips back to Oklahoma to see family and quilting with her sister. She was a member of the Eldora United Methodist Church.
Vivian is survived by her husband: Harlin of Eldora, Iowa; a daughter Debbie and her husband Matt Kissinger of Pella, Iowa; 3 grandsons: Matthew, Harlin and Nate; a sister: Jeanette Worden of Ninnekah, Oklahoma; 2 brothers Woody and his wife Lynette Stamper of Houston, Texas, and Johnny and his wife Cherie Stamper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and an aunt: Vera Mae Reynolds of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
