Timothy Tripp, 53, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa, of natural causes. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 8, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Reinbeck, Iowa. Burial will follow at Reinbeck Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M, at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Timothy J Tripp was born on October 8, 1960 in Grundy Center, Iowa. He was the son of James and Jadean (Oltman) Tripp. Tim grew up in the Reinbeck area. He attended and graduated from Walnut Ridge High School with the class of 1979. Tin served his country in the U.S. Air Force. After his discharge he worked as a Paramedic and then for Brown Leasing as a mechanic retiring due to his health. He married Taresa Viola on August 1, 1986 in Austin, TX. Tim enjoyed radio controlled airplanes, camping, woodworking and riding horses. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Tim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reinbeck where he served as a deacon and as treasurer.
Tim is survived by his wife, Terri of Reinbeck; parents, James and Jadean Tripp of Reinbeck; daughters, Christian Jeys of Reinbeck, Heather (Zach) Barnett of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Chandie Jeys, Blake Jeys, Serenity Barnett, Khloe Barnett; sister Cindy Dreesman and her husband Daryl; nephews, Scott, Dustin, Travis Dreesman; special brothers, Brian Osborne and Floyd McElhaney, and his dog Daisy.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kerri Tripp and nephew, Trevor Dreesman.
