Thomas Weissenfluh

Thomas W. Weissenfluh, 57, of Reinbeck, Iowa, passed away of natural causes, on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Dike. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Thomas Wesley was born on June 24, 1957 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Wesley and Dorthy (Rider) Weissenfluh. He grew up in the Waterloo and Dike areas attending schools in both communities graduating from Dike High School in 1975. Tom married Sara Keith in 1984. After graduation he went to work for Smitty's Tire and Appliance before starting at PCI in Reinbeck where he worked at the time of his death.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting arrowheads. Above all, spending time with family was what Tom treasured most.
Tom is survived by his parents, Wes and Dorthy Weissenfluh of Dike; children, Christine Farley and husband Justin of Reinbeck, James Weissenfluh and wife Jessica of Wacoma; 3 grandchildren, Thomas Farley, Layne Weissenfluh and Easton Farley; siblings; Shirley Hermansen, Nancy (Russ) Roberts, Rob (Karla) Weissenfluh and Harley (Deahonne) Weissenfluh; numerous nieces & nephews, David, Mandy, Nikki, Bo and Julia.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Stan Hermansen.
