Teri Green

Teri Sue Green, 52, of Dike, Iowa, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on Monday, September 18, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.  A celebration of Teri’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 20th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Eagles Club, 2125 W. Lone Tree Rd., Cedar Falls, IA. A private graveside service will take place at a later date at the Waterloo Cemetery. The Engelkes-Abels Dike Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials may be directed to the family and online messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.abelsfuneralhomes.com .

Teri Sue was born on May 9, 1965 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Ira Lawrence & Bonnie (Ridenour) Roberts. When Teri Sue was a small child, Janet Roberts raised Teri Sue as her own daughter. Teri Sue grew up in the Waterloo area, where she attended school, graduating from Walnut Ridge Baptist High School in 1983. In 1986, Teri Sue married James Sessions and the couple welcomed son Stephan into their family.  The couple later divorced. She then married Jeff Snook, in which they welcomed son Jacob into their family. They later divorced. Teri Sue later welcomed son Seth Fredrickson. In 2012, Teri Sue was united in marriage to the love of her life, Troy Green. The couple made their home in Dike.

For a few years, Teri Sue worked for Dike-New Hartford Schools in food service and worked part time at JP’s One More in Dike, as a bartender. Teri Sue was a wonderful cook and loved to prepare meals for her family. She enjoyed warm weather, sunshine and lounging in the pool. What Teri was mostly known for was how caring she was towards others and giving selflessly. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and words will never express how much they will miss her.

Teri Sue is survived by her mother Janet Roberts of Waterloo; husband Troy Green of Dike; sons Stephan (Jacob Rodriguez) Sessions of Tucson, AZ and Seth Fredrickson of Cedar Falls; 3 step-daughters Kamron (Cody) Raygor of Traer, IA, Kelsey (Drew) McWilliams of Ryan, IA and Lakyn Green; granddaughter Elizabeth Raygor; siblings James (Rhonda) Roberts of Waterloo, Debra Roberts of Denver, IA, Laurie (Rick) Ruport of Denver, IA, Theresa Laudenbach of Waterloo, Michael Roberts of Los Angeles, CA, Kent (Wendy) Yount of Ravenna, NE, Brian (Missy) Yount of Janesville, WI, Robyn (Steven) Weitzel of Aberdeen, NC and Richard (Candace) Yount of Elk Run Heights, IA; sisters-in-law Cindy (Bill) Stewart of Oelwein, IA and Vicky (Chris) Carpenter of Michigan and brother-in-law Rick (Angie) Green of Highlands Ranch, CO; mother and father-in-law Luella and Don Green of New Hartford, IA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; son Jacob Snook.
