Sharon L. Ziesman,81, of Eldora, Iowa passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in the comfort of her own home, while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services for Sharon will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eldora, IA with Pastor Aaron Hambleton officiating. Due to the safety of everyone, the family has requested that masks are to be worn but are not required. Following services, Sharon will be laid to rest at the East Lawn Memorial Garden’s cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Creps Abels Funeral Home located at 905 Edgington Ave, Eldora, IA 50627. Sharon Linn Cain was born on February 14, 1940 in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Ruth (Kinnaird) Cain. She was raised and educated in the Beaman, IA school district, where she graduated from Beaman High School with the class of 1958. Following graduation, Sharon went onto obtain her beauty license from the Thompson Beauty School in Des Moines, IA. Sharon then worked at Fisher Controls as an Engineer Assistant and retired after 30 years.
Sharon was married to Dale Reel and had two daughters and later married Kenneth Sharp and made a home with his two sons as well.
On August 18, 1986, Sharon was united in marriage to Roger Ziesman at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eldora, IA, where she became a member.
Sharon had a passion for collecting over 400 “shoes” of all shapes and sizes. She loved bowling, sewing, and volunteering her time at the historical society and Little Rock Ministries. She loved entertaining family and friends at her home. Which was the ultimate joy in her world.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 35 years: Roger Ziesman; daughters: Kelly (Leon) Mackie and Connie (Richard) Redix; grandchildren: Jyles (Erin) England, Aleatha (Dylan) Wesselmann, Jeane Mackie and Calvin Mackie; three great-grandchildren: Roxos, Desstinnie and Brittney; sisters: Marilyn Bachman and Shirly Ramundt; sister-in-law: Jeane Cain; stepsons: Ken and Greg Sharp.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Ruth Cain; brother: Dean Cain; brothers-in-law: Gene Bachman and Virtus Ramundt; Husbands: Dale Reel and Kenneth Sharp Sr.
