Ruth Jane Ryerson, 80, of Eldora, died at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa, on Thursday March 6, 2008.
Ruth was born February 24, 1928, in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Otis and Mary (Blair) Waldo. She graduated from New Providence High School in 1946. On July 30, 1948 she was united in marriage to Robert Orville Ryerson in Sidney, Iowa. Ruth worked in various retail store on main street Eldora for over 50 years. Ruth was a life long area resident and was a member of the Eldora United Methodist Church. She was a very social person and never met a stranger. She enjoyed fishing, watching her grandson race, and many high school sporting events. She also enjoyed the bus trips to Tama.
Survivors include a daughter Susan and her husband John Avery of Des Moines, Iowa, a son Mark and his wife Diane Ryerson of Eldora and a son Rick Ryerson of Eldora. 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband a granddaughter Calley Havlik, her parents, and 2 sisters Mae Gould and Dorothy McBride.
