Russell Dean Young, 52, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died Friday, August 29, 2008, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.
Russell was born November 27, 1955 in Ames, Iowa the son of Donald and Lynn (Giannasi) Young. He was raised in the Ames area graduating high school in 1972. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. Rusty worked at a variety of different jobs throughout his life.
Survivors include his step-children: Angie Terrones and Derek Terrones; his sister: Cheryl and her husband Dan Olson of Grundy Center, Iowa; and a brother: Ron Young of Fort Collins Colorado; nieces and nephews: Mark and wife Terri Young of Hudson, Wisconsin, Sean and wife Michelle Olson of Omaha, Nebraska, Danae and husband Dan O?Malley of Hudson, Iowa, Ryan Olson of Lubbock, Texas, Kyle Olson of Naples, Florida, and Shauna Young of Fort Collins, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Lynn Young.
