Rosemary McIntire, 67, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died from natural causes on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center.
Rosemary was born September 25, 1939 in New Castle, Indiana, daughter of Odis and Flora (Burnside) Surber. She was raised and educated in New Castle. On October 27, 1962 she was united in marriage to Donald Bruce McIntire in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The couple moved to Grundy Center in 1975 where Rosemary worked at NCM, Inc. retiring in 2000. Donald passed away on January 11, 1996.
She is survived by 2 sons: Ron McIntire and wife Mary of Grundy Center, and Bob McIntire and wife Shannon of Grundy Center; a daughter: Tina Hovenga and husband Brad of Aplington: 3 step-sons: Ronald McIntire of Menlo, Iowa, Floyd McIntire and wife Jean of Des Moines, Iowa, and Danny McIntire and wife Joann of Copperas Cove, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers: George Thomas Surber and wife Carolyn of New Castle, Indiana, and Walter Richard Surber of Tacoma, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 1 brother: Otis Eugene Surber.
