Rolin (Rollie) Joe Oltrogge, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at his home of natural causes following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, April 26, 2010 at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, Iowa. Burial will follow at the Harlington Cemetery in Waverly, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, where family will be present to greet friends.
Rollie was born October 17, 1955 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Mariann (Oehlert) Oltrogge. He grew up in rural Denver, IA. He attended school in Denver and graduated from Denver High School in 1974.He attended Hawkeye Institute of Technology while in high school graduating from Building Trades Program. He married Linda (Baker) Lehmkuhl on September 5, 1993 at the Log Cabin in Morrison, Iowa. Rollie drove semi for his father, hauling grain to McGregor/ Marquette Grain Terminal. In 1976 he was hired as a truck driver by Peterson Soybean Seeds a Division of Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., transferring to Reinbeck Seed Corn Production facility where he remained until his death
Rollie is survived by his wife, Linda of Reinbeck; sister, Roxann (Ray) Bachman of New Hampton, IA; 2 nieces, Karla and Nicole Bachman of New Hampton; stepdaughter, Dawn (Ruben) Estrada of Austin; a step grandson, Cody Kohls of Austin, Texas and sister-in-law, Darlene(Tammy) Oltrogge of Waverly, Iowa.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Larry Oltrogge and grandparents.
