Robert "Bob" Steinfeldt, 83, of Eldora, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at his home in Eldora. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora with Pastor David Splett officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldora Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church.
Robert Gordon Steinfeldt, son of Herbert and Agnes (Balvanz) Steinfeldt was born October 2, 1931 at Melrose Township in Grundy County, Iowa. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1949. Bob was a lifelong farmer south west of Eldora. In October of 2014, he moved from his farm to Eldora. Bob enjoyed golfing, hunting pheasants, raising Labrador puppies and loved his St. Paul Lutheran church family. He wrote several articles about farming, which was published in many farming magazines.
Bob is survived by his chosen family, Connie Lyman of Iowa Falls and her children, William, Lorie and Michael Lyman. He is also survived by numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
