Robert E. Lindaman, 69, of Wellsburg, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley, Iowa. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 25, 2006, at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg, Iowa, with Pastor Bruce Baillie officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg. Visitation will be Saturday at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until service time. Memorials may be directed to the Presbyterian Village in Ackley, Iowa.



Robert E. Lindaman was born May 9, 1937, at home in Wellsburg, the son of Harley Benjamin and Alyce Mae (Harlan) Lindaman. Bob received his education in Wellsburg, graduating with the Wellsburg High School Class of 1955. Bob attended Central College in Pella, Iowa, for a year, and on February 24, 1956, Bob was united in marriage to Shirley Snyder at the Ivester Church of the Brethren, rural Grundy Center, Iowa. Starting in 1956, Bob worked for the H. Lindaman and Sons Lumberyard in Wellsburg. He managed the lumberyard for thirteen years, and then moved to Illinois, working as a salesman and raising his family. Bob returned to Wellsburg in the mid-1980's after being divorced, and became the greens keeper for Meadowbrook Golf Course in Wellsburg and the Pine Lake Country Club in Eldora.

Bob enjoyed hunting ducks and pheasants, golfing, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye?s fan. Family was very important to him. He loved his children, and he enjoyed and appreciated the special kindnesses that were shown to him by his extended family.

He is survived by two sons Jason Lindaman and his wife Pam of Monroe Center, Illinois; Jerome Lindaman of Carpentaria, California; one daughter Shelley Paulson of Gurnee, Illinois; two grandchildren Jared Lindaman and Susan Paulson; three sisters Ardythe Seifken of Waverly, Iowa; Virginia Jaspers and her husband Alle of Ackley, Iowa; Catherine Lieser and her husband Lee of Sartell, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two nieces.
