Robert Anthony Camp, 63, of Grundy Center, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center.
Rob was born on March 11, 1952 in Ohio. On October 15, 2004 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Marie Hill in Polk County.
He loved everything about fishing, from spending time out on the water to making fishing lures. Rob also enjoyed building models of all types, and playing his X-Box.
Rob was known for being a handyman and was always there to fix things for anyone in need. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Kathleen; a daughter Suzanne (Justin Appel) Whitten of Morrison, sons William (Jen Metz) Hurd, John (Paige Carlson) Hurd all of Ankeny and Kevin (Janet) Hill of Kingston, Ontario, Canada; seven grandchildren Thaddeus Hurd, Elizabeth Hurd, Patrick Boyd, Abbigail Hurd, Koltin Hurd, Malayla Hurd and Hailey Hill; Eric Atkinson and Jessica Curran whom he adopted as siblings; his cat Scooter; many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.
The family would like to express their deep thanks to the Grundy County Memorial Hospital and Unity Point Hospice staff for the wonderful care they provided to Rob.
Per Rob's request there will be no service.
