Reba Mae Wright, 90, of Eldora, passed away at Valley View Nursing & Rehab Center in Eldora on Monday, July 27, 2015, while under Care Initiatives Hospice. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Eldora at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be held at Eldora City Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Valley View Nursing & Rehab Center.

Reba was born on October 7, 1924 at the family farm north of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, to her parents Joe and Flossy (Volk) Mann. She was a life-long resident in Hardin County and graduated from Ackley High School in the Class of 1941. She then graduated from Ellsworth College in 1943. Reba taught in a one-room schoolhouse for three years.
She was united in marriage to Oliver Wright on November 12, 1948 in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Together they welcomed two children into their family.

Reba was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Eldora, where she served the church as its janitor for 30 years. She enjoyed reading and knitting but her true joy in life came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Reba is survived by her son, Steve (Bette) Wright, daughter Marilyn (Ken) Buckley all of Eldora; grandchildren, John (Amy) Wright, Megan (Brad) Rewoldt, Michael Wright and his friend Jessica and Eric Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Malcolm and Gwyn Wright, Sarah, Anfin, Hannah and Landon Rewoldt, Jade Montgomery and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years, Oliver Wright, three brothers John, Jessie and Robert and a nephew Jess Mann.
