Raynold Goebel, 66, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Covenant Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Ray was born May 27, 1941, in New Hampton, Iowa, son of Abraham and Bertha (Hughbanks) Goebel. He was raised and attended school in New Hampton. On November 25, 1961 Ray married Beverly Nosbisch at Saint Mary?s Catholic Church in North Washington, Iowa. Ray farmed and raised cattle in the Reinbeck area for many years until he retired. He spent many hours on the farm helping others out with their chores and field work. He loved to hunt mushrooms, asparagus and took his secret hunting areas with him. Ray loved to play cards, making trips to the casinos, morning coffee with his friends at the Corner CafAC., but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving Ray is his wife Beverly of Reinbeck, three sons; Ron (Carol), Don (Vicki), Mark (Erin),and one daughter Jean (Rick) Schmidt all of Reinbeck, IA; Grandchildren, Kimberly Heise, Bradley Schmidt both of Reinbeck, and Jordan Knebel of Jesup, Iowa; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers Ervin Goebel of Brainerd, MN, Ralph (Mary) Goebel of Ames, Kenny (Kathy) Goebel of New Hampton, Arnold (Carol) Goebel of Denver; sisters, JoAnn (Robert) Johnson of Elgin, IL, Mary Huebner of Byron, MN, Alice Jane (Bart) Murphy of Justice, IL; sister-in-laws, Janice Goebel of Minneapolis, MN, Nancy Goebel of Cedar Rapids, Wendy Goebel of Key West, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ray in death were his parents, seven brothers; Jim, Richard, Dennis, Vincent, Robert, William, Thomas and one sister; Lois Ann.
