Randy Lee Martin

Randy Lee Martin, 65, of Reinbeck, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 25, 2023. A celebration of life for Randy will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Reinbeck Memorial Building. Randy was born July 15, 1958, to Leonard and Betty Martin in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He grew up in Cedar Falls until moving to Dike. He attended Hawkeye Tech where he learned bodywork and automotive technology. He was united in marriage to Catherine “Katy” Dyer on May 10, 1980, in Cedar Falls. They moved to Dinsdale before their recent relocation to Reinbeck. He spent five years as a factory worker at Midwest Manufacturing in Marshalltown.

Randy was passionate about motorcycles, specifically his 1975 Sportster, as well as smoking and grilling. More than anything, he had lots of love for his friends, family, and especially his grandchildren.

Randy is survived by his wife, Katy Martin; children Robert (Amanda) Martin, Catrina (David) Ritsema, and Nicholas (Angela) Martin; brother Roger (Sharon) Martin; sister Becky (Scott) Schipper; grandchildren Adia Mortl-Martin, Athena Martin, Cheyenne Ritsema, Kaleb Ritsema, Kenadie Martin, Kaylee Martin, and Kimber Martin; dog Stain; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Betty Martin, and a brother, Robert Martin.
