Raena Jean Kenyon 87, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa, of natural causes.
Raena Jean Kenyon was born March 8, 1921 in Grundy Center Iowa to Ray and Mabel (Nickerson) Morrison. Raena attended country school and graduated from Grundy Center High School. She participated in several sports in high school. Her Graves's bowling team won a number of bowling league titles during their tenure together. Raena married M.C. Kenyon on May 28, 1966 in Jackson MN. She loved fishing, hunting, and camping. She was a member of American Legion Post 242 in Reinbeck. Her family was the most important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Larry Saak and Jim Anderson, step-daughter Cookie Hirsch, sister Maida Scott and brother Vaughn Morrison.
She is survived by her husband M.C. (Ken) Kenyon of Reinbeck, a daughter-in- law, Geri DeVries of Grundy Center;7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren, 3 stepchildren, 14 step grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren;7 step great -great grandchildren and a sister Ann Rae Billerbeck of Reinbeck.
