Phyllis M. Connerley, 86, of Grundy Center, Iowa died Friday, July 22, 2016 at Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in Grundy Center, Iowa. Private family graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center. Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Phyllis Marie Connerley, daughter of Fay and Rosella Henkle Connerley was born on February 14, 1930 in Grundy Center, Iowa. She received her education from the Grundy Center Community Schools. Following her education, Phyllis was employed as a housekeeper for several area homes. She spent most of her life residing in Grundy Center. Phyllis enjoyed traveling and loved music.
Survivors include her niece, Pat (Roger) Kruse of Homer, Nebraska; great niece, Jo (Doug) Wical of Grundy Center, IA; and many other nieces and nephew.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rachel and Roland Ohrt, Audrey and Harlen Springer; and one brother, DeLeRoy Connerley.
