Phillip M. Willig, 67, of Glenwood, Iowa died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa with Pastor Bruce Zimmermann officiating. Burial will follow at the Eastlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Eldora. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Phillip Mark Willig, beloved son of Wesley L. and Laura H. (Johnson) Willig was born on November 3, 1947 in Eldora, Iowa. At the age of four, he moved to the Woodward State Hospital at Woodward , Iowa where he resided until 1972, when he moved to the Glenwood Resource Center at Glenwood, Iowa.
Survivors include his sister, Susan A. Willig of Omaha, NE; niece, Katy (Andrew) Willig Aylward of Washington, D.C.; two great nephews, Hayes and Grayson Aylward; Aunt, Ruth Piper of Eldora; and numerous cousins.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Niles Willig who died in 1943.
