Pearl Arlene Eiten, 92 was a devoted homemaker and cherished member of her community, born on September 23, 1932, in rural Grundy Center, Iowa. She graduated from Grundy Center High School, later marrying Alfred Eiten on October 17, 1958, at the Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church. Together, they built a loving family, and their union was marked by mutual respect and admiration.

Pearl's career was rooted in her commitment to her family. She worked diligently as a homemaker, nurturing her children with unwavering love and support. Additionally, she contributed to her community through her roles at The Green Door, Rock Stop, and Timothy Christian School, where her dedication and warmth left a lasting impact on those around her.

Throughout her life, Pearl found joy in the company of family, particularly during the holiday season, which she treasured deeply. Her passions extended beyond her familial ties; she was an avid square dancer, a skilled cake decorator, and enjoyed the intricate artistry of quilting.

Her family includes her beloved sons, Curt Eiten, Craig (Judy) Eiten, and Charles (Nancy) Eiten. She took great pride in her grandchildren: Kala (Bryce) Eller, Nick (Emily) Eiten, Angela (Oscar) Guevara, Laura DeCosmo, Ellen Eiten, and Ben Eiten. Pearl also was a doting great-grandmother to McCoy and Sutton Eller, Carver and Theodora Eiten, and Kasche, Rone, Rucker, Kora, and Kooper Guevara, along with Logan, Avery, and Hunter DeCosmo. She is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Ella Eiten, her sister, Alice Behrends, and her nieces and nephews.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Eiten, who passed away on April 13, 2011. She was also preceded by her parents, Swier and Christena (Stork) Cannegieter, her brother and sister-in-law, Andrew (Evelyn) Cannegieter, her sister, Lillian Barron, and her sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis (Gerrit) Hulstein, brother-in-law, Harvey Eiten and sister-in-law, Lillian Eiten.

Pearl Arlene Eiten passed away on January 13, 2025, in Grundy Center, Iowa, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and commitment to family and community. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who knew and loved her.
