Pat was born on March 17, 1929, to her parents Emmet and Ethel (Patton) Graves. She was united in marriage to Charles Francis Murphy on April 24, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waterloo, Iowa. They welcomed six children into their family.

Pat was a dedicated farmer’s wife and mother. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family and hosting big family gatherings. Her specialty was roast beef, mashed potatoes, and THE best gravy. Pat was also a devoted grandmother who loved to spend time with the grandchildren. They loved her sense of humor, words of encouragement and the wisdom she shared with them. We will all cherish those memories.

Special to Mom was the happy hour time her and Dad spent together. At 5:00 p.m. they poured themselves a drink and watched the evening news. Mom would never tell her age or want her picture taken. She loved her time with friends playing bridge, golfing, and attending her Thursday morning coffee group. Mom was a faithful member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church for 68 years.

Pat is survived by her sons Charles (JoAnn) Murphy and David (Kathi) Murphy; daughters Kathryn (Curt) Juel, Barbara (Steve) Vanderpol, Carolyn Bolden and Janice (George) Weilein; grandchildren Amy Juel (Veronica Brown), Megan Juel (Seth Sharp), Rachael (Ekeoma) Daniel, Michael (Kristen) Murphy, Jason (Rachel) Murphy, Lindsay Murphy (Ben Giangrasso), Tara (Matt) Bockes, Nicole (Nathan) Stoss, Ellie (Joe) McBride, Tyler Bolden, Dr. Erica Weilein (Dr. Atif Cheema), Alexa Weilein, Catherine Weilein, Elliot Bernhagen, and Austin Murphy; great-grandchildren Madeline, Ella, Cannon, Nolan, Roman, Claire, Samson, Luxley, Lilian, Noah, Jack, Greyson, Eva, Jackson, Mack, Sophie, Tucker, and Nora. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles and 3 sisters.
