Olivette Winburn Boysen, 90 of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at her home in Cedar Falls while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father David Kucera is being conducted privately by the family. A memorial fund has been established.
Olivette was born to James and Margaret (Biever) Winburn on July 7, 1920 in Montezuma, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Harlan Boysen on August 2, 1941. Together they welcomed nine children into their family.
Olivette was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parkersburg. She loved the outdoors, watching the wildlife and especially working in her garden. Olivette loved to travel around to various states. Olivette was a wonderful mother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Olivette is survived by her; children, Norma Peters of Cedar Falls, Mary (Larry) Coffee of New Hartford, Linda McIntryre of Cedar Falls, Phil (Phyllis) Boysen of Boise, ID, Bob (Susan) Boysen of Olathe, KS, Nancy Fisher of Cedar Falls and Curt Boysen of Elk River, MN; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Longwell of Kingman, AZ; two brothers, James Winburn of Des Moines and Jack Winburn of Florida.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Brad; daughter, Susan; and three sisters.
