Naomi Theresa Peters, 93 of Wellsburg, Iowa, died Wednesday January 29, 2008, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Grundy Center.
Naomi was born November 25, 1914 the daughter of Jacob and Augusta (Wulf) Lutterman. Naomi graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1932 and then received her normal training from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She was a schoolteacher at German #6 near Wellsburg. On June 3, 1937 she was united in marriage to Henry Harold Peters at her parent?s home in Wellsburg. Naomi was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Wellsburg, the Library Board, the Senior Housing Board, Cemetery Board and worked at the George Wells Historical home in Wellsburg.
Naomi is survived by her daughter Elinor and her husband Glenn Hinders of Eldora; sons Charles and his wife Ardis Peters of Fort Dodge, and Howard and his wife Linda Peters of Forest City; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Parks of Paducah, Kentucky, and Alice Berkmeier of Naples, Florida; a brother Gerald and his wife Anne Lutterman of Paducah, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
