Mildred Elaine Everhart

Mildred Elaine Everhart (Teague), 87, of Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at her home. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Grundy Center. A visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. 

Mildred was born on October 8, 1935, to Othell and Marjorie Teague in Sac City, Iowa. She grew up in Sac City and graduated from high school in 1953 from Sac City High School. 

On June 14, 1953, Mildred was united in marriage to LeRoy Everhart at the Methodist Church in Sac City. From this union, five daughters were born. 

Mildred enjoyed bowling and going to the casino; she could be found playing scratch-off lottery tickets if she couldn’t make it to the casino. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Bob) Lang, Mary Kay Everhart, Vicky Pherigo, Sheila (William) Kelly, and Michelle (Brad) Hitchings; sister Coral Byers;12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many friends and family.  

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Barbara Franke, brother Tom Teague, son-in-law Russ Pherigo, granddaughter Reese, and a great-granddaughter.
