Melvin A. Dudolski, 90, Joplin, MO, formerly of Reinbeck, died Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center, Joplin, MO. Memorial Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at French-Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, Iowa. A visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at French-Hand Funeral Home, with a 7:00 P.M. Masonic service, conducted by the Masonic Coin Lodge # 394. Inurnment will follow at Reinbeck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be the Shriners Children's Hospital.
Melvin Albert was born January 8, 1925, in Gladbrook, Iowa, the son of Albert and Lydia (Dielschneider) Dudolski. Melvin grew up in Tama County. He attended school in Reinbeck and graduated from high school. Melvin served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Melvin married Audrey Joan Fleener on August 16, 1953 and of this union Steven Charles was received by Mel as his own. He was an agent and District manager for American family Insurance for 30 years. Mel was a member of The Elks, Masonic Coin Lodge #394 of Reinbeck, The Scottish Rite and American Legion Action Post 242 of Reinbeck. In February 1990 they moved to Arizona. Audrey died in 2006. Melvin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his; grandchildren, Angela (John) Meyer, Scott (Melissa) Dudolski; daughter-in-law, Anna Dudolski; great-grandchildren, John, Will, Brett, Karson, Sydnee, Ashley and Amanda; sister, Helen (Maurice) Bolt; nieces and nephews.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and son, Steven.
