Marylyn “Mickey” Rolph, 82, of Eldora, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Creps-Abels Funeral Homes in Eldora. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Eldora City Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mickey was born on August 27, 1936 in Gifford, Iowa, to her parents Basil & Ella “Avonelle” (Palmby) Dickenson. She was raised in the Union area, graduated from Union High School, and went on to graduate college with a degree in bookkeeping and clerical work.

Mickey was united in marriage to Paul Chancey Cory on November 3, 1956 in Elkhart, Iowa; together they welcomed 5 children into their family. Paul passed away on March 17, 1962. She then was married to Harold Dean Rolph on April 30, 1963. Together they owned and operated the Pastime Tap. Mickey worked at the Eldora Hospital, Whink Products and Midwest Liquid Systems as a clerical worker and bookkeeper.

Mickey and her husband Harold were members of the American Legion. She enjoyed working on puzzles, playing cards and bowling. However, her true joy in life came from spending time with her family.

Mickey is survived by her children Cindy (Terry) Clemons of Union, IA, Christopher (Deb) Cory of Iowa Falls, IA, Craig Cory of Geneva, IA, Clifford (Donna) Cory of Eldora, IA and Cathy Cory of Sunset, TX; 15 grandchildren & many great-grandchildren; her very special friend Lawrence Bottema; sister Dolores Holtz; step-children Gary, Cathy, Rick, Diana, Randy and Patricia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Paul and Harold; siblings Norman, Carroll “Louie” & Teddy Dickenson; grandson Paul Cory and her daughter-in-law Margie Cory.
