Martha Johanna Vogt, 102, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Sunday December 16, 2007, at the Parkview Manor in Reinbeck, Iowa, of natural causes.
Martha was born January 14, 1905, in Bucholz, Germany. She was the daughter of John and Emilie (Schuldt) Tessau. She married Herman Vogt on December 16, 1922. Five Children were born to this union.
Martha attended country school in Lincoln, Iowa area. She also worked at Pioneer Hi Bred and Bell Canning factory. Martha was a cook in various restaurants around the area for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Florence Jones of Dike; Donna Mae (Eldred) Clark of Higginsville, Missouri; one son, Leonard (Pony) and Barbara Vogt of Cherry Valley, California; 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great, great grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; daughter, Betty Dwyer of Berryville, Arkansas; son, Donald Vogt of Gladbrook; her parents, three brothers, three sisters, one grandson and one great grandchild.
