Marjorie C. Trout, 84, of Pella, Iowa, formerly of Eldora, Iowa, died on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Comfort House in Pella. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Eldora with Pastor Mark Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldora City Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, January 25 at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Eldora.
Marjorie Clarice Trout was born on February 7, 1927 in Steamboat Rock to William J. and Marian Luiken. She attended country school through eighth grade, and graduated from Steamboat Rock. On June 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Willard Trout. To this union, two children were born. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Eldora.
She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, spending time with her family, gardening, and flowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Kuiper of Pella and her friend Craig Hazelbaker of Cedar Rapids; daughter-in-law Sylvia Trout of Goodman, Missouri; sister-in-law Margaret Monroe of Eldora; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Willard in 2000; son, Bruce in 2003.
