Marjorie was born June 13, 1924, in Elma, daughter of Anabelle and John Deluhery. On Oct. 24, 1947, she married Paul Robert Buck and had 60 wonderful years with him.

Marjorie graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in Elma in 1942 and moved to Des Moines to work in the Defense Plant in Ankeny during WW2. Following the war, she worked as a dental assistant where she met and married Paul, a sailor in the US Navy. They traveled and lived in many places during their tenure with the military, during which Marjorie attended Omaha Community College where she received her Practical Nursing Degree. Following Paul's military retirement, they decided to settle in Grundy Center where Marjorie worked at the Grundy Hospital for 10 years. After retirement, they spent winters in Arizona keeping busy with friends, family, church, volunteer work, and a little golf. She was an amazing lady.

Marjorie is survived by three daughters, Susan (Dan) Hurlburt of Lincoln, NE, Elizabeth (Ed) Ash of Grundy Center, and Mary Buck of St. Petersburg, FL; two sons, Stephen (Nancy) Buck of Eureka, CA, and Christopher (Janetta) Buck of Grundy Center; a sister, Jeanann Ankrum of Dubuque; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; three brothers Francis, Donald and Dale, and one sister Isabelle.
