Marilyn Ann Klinkenborg, 61, of Parkersburg, Iowa, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at her home of natural causes.
Marilyn was born August 16, 1945 in Clark, South Dakota, the daughter of Delfred and Violet (Seefeldt) Mundhenke. She attended Willow Lake School graduating in 1963. She then attended and graduated from South Dakota State University in 1967. On June 7, 1969 she was united in marriage to Bruce Paul Klinkenborg in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple moved to Parkersburg in 1969. Marilyn taught Elementary music for 38 years in the Waterloo Community School District. Marilyn was a member and music director at the Hope Reformed Church in Parkersburg.
She is survived by her husband Bruce of Parkersburg, Iowa; three sons: Ryan and his wife Shelby Klinkenborg of West Des Moines, Iowa, Jon and his wife Tara Klinkenborg of Parkersburg, Iowa, and Lee Klinkenborg of Parkersburg, Iowa; a daughter: Ann Klinkenborg of Parkersburg, Iowa; two grandchildren Emily Klinkenborg, and Cael Klinkenborg; a mother: Violet Mundhenke of Willow Lake, South Dakota; five sisters: Sharon and husband Roger Minet of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Virginia and husband Allyn Simonich of Adrian, Minnesota, Barbara Biely of Long Beach, California, Janet Lamb of Watertown, South Dakota, and Terri and husband Richard Steen of Watertown, South Dakota; a brother: William and wife Lisa Mundhenke of Lakeside, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her father: Delfred Mundhenke; and a nephew Joel Lamb.
