Marguerite Irene "Granny" Wyatt, 91 of Hudson
Marguerite Irene "Granny" Wyatt, 91 a lifelong resident of rural Hudson and Reinbeck entered into eternal rest, Thursday August 10, 2006 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.
Marguerite was born on July 23, 1915, the only child of Frank Noble and Sophia (Knaack) Mason. She graduated from Reinbeck High School with the class of 1932. She received her teaching certificate from Iowa State Normal School in Cedar Falls and taught country school for several years. On January 30, 1940 Marguerite was married to Everett E. Wyatt at her parent's home in Reinbeck. She was a homemaker and lived on the family farm until her death. Everett died August 6, 1992.
Marguerite enjoyed farm life, mowing lawn, and especially her family and friends.
She was an active member of the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Reinbeck, church circle, 4-H leader, Farm Bureau, Township Homemakers, Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy High Priestess of the White Shrine and attended Christian Women's Club.
Marguerite is survived by her children Janet and her husband Melvin Schildroth of Reinbeck, and Frank and his wife Susan Wyatt of Hudson. There are six grandchildren: Scott (Chris) Schildroth, Jodi (Kevin) Michael, Monte (Lisa) Wyatt, Matt (Chelsea) Wyatt, Anne (Paolo Forlano) Wyatt, and Aimee Wyatt. There are 12 great grandchildren: Jill and Jenny Schildroth, Shannon and Paige Kromas, Sydney and Kyle Michael, Katie, Alison and Janie Wyatt, Cael, Aiden and Ava Wyatt.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son James Wyatt. We will all miss her but have so many memories to cherish as she was a blessing to each of us.
