Margery Stewart

Margery L. Stewart, 87, of Grundy Center, Iowa died on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center.

Margery was born March 14, 1921, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, daughter of Claude and LuElla (Sudduth) Young. She was raised and educated in the Logan area graduating from Missouri Valley High School in 1941. On December 14, 1942 she was united in marriage to Richard John Stewart. Margery sewed for many people out of her home. The couple moved to Grundy Cneter in 1984. Richard died on November 9, 1992.

She is survived by her five children: Gary Stewart of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary and her husband Bob Ayers of Holland, Iowa, Larry and his wife Candi Stewart of Muscatine, Iowa, Terry and his wife Moya Stewart of Littleton, Colorado, and Patrick and his wife Maggie Stewart of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; a sister Marilyn Reed of Omaha, Nebraska and a brother Eugene ?Bud? and his wife Bernice Young of Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, two brothers: Marion and Raymond Young and 4 step siblings Clint, Clara, Inez, Lucille.
