Lydia Henze

Lydia Lucille Henze, 91, of Grundy Center, Iowa, passed away on April 3, 2018 at Grundy County Memorial Hospital.  A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. A private burial will take place at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

Lydia was born on July 1, 1926 on a farm in rural Grundy County, Iowa.  She spent her entire life in Grundy County and worked over 30 years at Western Dressing, Inc. of Grundy Center, retiring in 1988.  She was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Grundy Center.  Lydia loved to laugh and play games with her nephews.

Lydia is survived by her sisters, Tena Aswegan and Emma Kalkwarf. She was preceded in death by her parents, Susie (Swygman) and Martin Henze.
