Lucille Gladys Jacobsen, age 95, of Voorhies, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Ennoble Manor in Dubuque, Iowa. Services were private and burial was held privately at Reinbeck Cemetery.

Lucille was born April 12, 1919 in Toledo, Iowa; the daughter of James and Mary (Ribby) Wacha. She graduated from Toledo High School. She taught country school until she was united in marriage to Roy Jacobsen on October 30, 1940. Together they welcomed two sons into their family.

Lucille was a founding member of the Oak Leaf Country Club. She was also a member of the Reinbeck American Legion Auxiliary. Lucille was an avid card player and especially enjoyed Pepper. She enjoyed hunting mushrooms and asparagus and was a great cook and baker. Lucille especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by her sons Robert Jacobsen of Lone Pine, CA and James (Carole) Jacobsen of Montgomery, TX; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roy and 2 sisters.
