Lucille C. Beving, 85, of Wellsburg, formerly of Creston, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Grundy County Long Term Care Unit in Grundy Center, IA. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday July 24
th
, 2009 at East Friesland Church in rural Ackley. A visitation is planned for Thursday, July 23
rd
from 5 to 7 P.M. at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg. Interment will be at the East Friesland Church Cemetery.
Lucille was born on July 22, 1923 in Grant Township, IA, the daughter of Nicholas and Catherine (Krantz ) Boehm. She was raised in rural Dike and lived on their family farm, graduating from Dike High School in 1941. She met and married Frederic Beving, and they were married on March 19, 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska. Frederic and Lucille made Wellsburg their home and born into this union were 3 children. The couple later relocated to Creston where they farmed for almost 20 years. Lucille loved gardening, nature, sewing and was an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her children Randy (Myrna) Beving of Creston, IA, Kathi Ann (Alan) Buckingham of Storm Lake, IA and Lindsey (Becky) Beving of Wellsburg, IA; grandchildren Jessica Beving, Tyler (Dawn) Beving, Dan & Jeffrey Buckingham and Jenna & Thomas Beving; great-grandchildren Gracie Marie Beving and Leah Grace Beving. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Frederic; her parents; brothers Carl & Herman Boehm and sisters Frieda Fletcher & Dorothy Uhlenhopp.
