Lucile Wrage, 90, formerly of Reinbeck and Gladbrook, Iowa, passed away peacefully Friday, December 21, 2007 at Sunrise Hill Care and Rehabilitation Center in Traer, Iowa of natural causes. Memorials maybe directed the East Central Iowa Alzheimer's Chapter, 1570 42nd Street N.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52407 in Lucile's name.
Lucile was born on October 15, 1917 in Reinbeck, Iowa. She was the youngest daughter of Earnest and Lena (Rohwer) Horstmann. She married Henry Wrage of rural Buckingham on February 26, 1936. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1993. They farmed north of Gladbrook until their retirement in 1978. They lived for a short time in Gladbrook, then moving to Reinbeck to be closer to family.
She is survived by a son, Merlyn (Connie) Wrage of Waterloo, 3 grandchildren, Sharri (Randy) Claassen, of Parkersburg, Stacey (Dean) Helstrom of Litchfield, Mn., and Shane (Julie) Wrage of Polk City, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Herman Horstmann, and sisters, Florence Dufel, Matilda Karkosh, Elsie Boege and Caroline Storjohann.
