Louise F. Granzow, 90, of Eldora, died from natural causes on Saturday, December 03, 2005 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, December 6 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora with Pastor David Splett officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Eldora. Visitation is from 5:00 ? 8:00 pm on Monday at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora.
Louise was born March 7, 1915, in Eldora, daughter of Herman and Emma (Bartz) Steinfeldt. She attended country school and on February 14, 1934 was united in marriage to Carl H. Granzow. They farmed near Eldora and Louise also baked wedding cakes. They moved from the family farm into the town of Eldora in 1970.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church serving with the Ladies Aid and Priscilla Guild, and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a former member of the Farm Bureau Women. She enjoyed embroidery and crocheting and was especially fond of flowers.
Surviving are daughters, Carla (Elroy) Nelson of York, Nebraska and Barbara (Jerry) Short of Fairfield, Arkansas; sons, David (Polly) Granzow of Eldora and Dennis Granzow of Eldora; sister, Irene Teske of Eldora; and by 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Carl in 1999; two infant sisters and sister, Helen Follett; and brothers, Herb, Hank, Frank, Clarence, Walt, Harold, and Leo Steinfeldt.
