Louise Crosser

Louise T. Crosser, 71, of Des Moines, formerly of Eldora, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at her home in Des Moines. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 17th, 10:00 A.M. at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 16th from 6 to 8 P.M. at Creps-Abels Funeral Home. Burial will follow funeral services at St. MaryA�A�A½s Catholic Cemetery.

Louise was born on January 22, 1940 in Fort Dodge, IA, the daughter of Howard & Margaret (Bradley) Otto. She grew up in Eldora and graduated from Eldora High School in 1958. Louise attended college at Eldora/Area VI in Marshalltown & Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, receiving her 4 year nursing degree. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and was inducted on March 4, 1960. She was honorably discharged on February 17, 1961 at Camp Pendleton, California. On June 2, 1962, Louise was united in marriage to Warren Crosser. Louise worked as a nurse for several area clinics in Eldora, Iowa Falls and Des Moines, retiring in 2004.

She is survived by her children Rex (Kelly) Crosser of Hubbard, IA & Ronda (Tim) Mueller of Urbandale, IA; granddaughters Jessica, Sarah & Marisa Mueller and Kortney Crosser; sisters Delores Rogers of Eldora & Jean (Craig) Baldwin of Aurora, Colorado and brothers Dean (Jane) Otto of Keijer, Oregon & Tony A�A�A½RayA�A�A½ Otto of Fort Collins, CO; 18 nieces and nephews and 23 great- nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband of 19 years, Warren Crosser; son and daughter Chris & Connie Lynn Crosser; grandson Braeden Crosser; brother Joe Otto and sister Nancy Sly; brother-in-law Delbert Rogers.

Louise enjoyed playing cards, BINGO and working on puzzles. Her true joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their activities. She also helped her daughter Ronda with her in-home daycare. After retiring from nursing, she did some in-home healthcare, helping out her neighbors who were in need and worked for hospice for some time. She was a very giving and selfless person and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
