Lois Evelyn Snow (Donnie), 90, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck, of natural causes. Donnie's wishes were to be cremated and there is no services planned at this time.Condolences may be sent to her niece- Geri Weeks at 1117 R Ave., Buckingham, Iowa 50612.

Lois Evelyn Snow (Donnie) was born September 13, 1917, on a farm in Tama County, the daughter of Frank E. and Emma (DauSchmidt) Snow. Donnie attended school in Reinbeck and graduated with the class of 1935. She attended Pitze's School of Beauty and was a beauty operator for a few years. Donnie then attended AIB in Des Moines. She was employed by Vitograph Inc., a division of Warner Bros. On March 13, 1943, Donnie enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. She took her basic training at Hunter College in New York. She was the sent to Marine Corps Air Force station at Cherry Point, NC. After her discharge in 1946, she remained at Cherry Point and entered into Civil Service. In 1967 she transferred to Fort Huachuca, AZ. Donnie retired from Civil Services in 1979 as a program analyst after 36 A½ years of government service. Donnie belonged to the American Legion and was 50 year member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by his 3 nieces; JoAnn Ehlers of Bettendorf, Iowa; Beverly Stonewall of Gladbrook; Geri(Bud) Weeks of Buckingham; and one nephew; Dean(Penny) Snow of Reinbeck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Marian Snow, Etta Shope,Glea Snow,Ruth Paton; one brother Harold; and 2 sisters and a brother in infancy.
