Lindsay M. Stupp, 32, of Steamboat Rock, Iowa died Friday, May 12, 2017 from injuries resulting from an ATV accident near Steamboat Rock, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Steamboat Rock Baptist Church with Pastor Harrison Lippert officiating. Burial will follow in the Steamboat Rock Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the Iowa Army National Guard Honor Guard. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Steamboat Rock Baptist Church. Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora is caring for Lindsay and his family.

Lindsay Michael Stupp, son of John and Cheryl Crosser Stupp was born May 15, 1984 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He attended school at Wellsburg-Steamboat Rock School until the 8th grade and then attended Eldora New Providence Community Schools where he graduated in 2002. Following his education, he entered the Iowa Army National Guard and was deployed twice to Afghanistan and once to Iraq with Charlie Co. 133rd Infantry Unit. He served honorably for the past 15 years and had made the rank of Staff Sergeant. Lindsay was an electrician at Iowa Central Electric in Alden. He had recently gotten his journeyman's license. He was a former member of the Steamboat Rock Fire Department and was a current member of the American Legion Elliott-Keninger Post #252 of Ackley, Iowa. Above all, Lindsay loved the life he shared with Britt and Teagan. He was an amazing uncle to his nephews. He also enjoyed riding his Ranger, time spent with family at Grandpa Jack's and time spent with his brothers in arms. He was community oriented, helping out wherever and whenever he could.

Survivors include his fiancé, Brittaney Petersen and daughter, Teagan Stupp; parents, John and Cheryl Stupp; brother, Ryan (Jami) Stupp all of Steamboat Rock, IA; sister, Jodie (Spencer) Schmidt of Cedar Falls, IA; nephews, Mathias, Malachi, Joshua, Gavin and Nolan; and his grandfather, Jack Crosser also of Steamboat Rock.

Lindsay was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie Addison Stupp; paternal grandparents, Earl and Betty Stupp; maternal grandmother, Ella Crosser; and his uncle, Clayton Stupp.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family where a memorial fund has been established.
