Kent Pickering

Kent Pickering passed away on February 8, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born on May 6, 1954 to Lawrence and Agnes Pickering.

He grew up in Hubbard, Iowa. Graduated high school from Hubbard High School in 1972. Studied drafting at Marshalltown Community College. He retired in May of 2020.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, wood working, and camping. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren.

He is survived by wife Marie, children Dawn (Travis), Tim (Robin) and Bryan (Kristi). Grandchildren Seth, Lexi, Jordyn, Quinn, Wyatt, Agytha, Randy, Jasmine and Jaxson. Great grandchildren Martin, Gracelyn and William. Sisters Melanie (Dave) Burston and Linda Whitman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Arlen, and granddaughter Lilly.

Service will be held at Dorothy’s Senior Center on February 25^th at 1:00 pm with luncheon to follow.
