Kenny was born on January 14, 1933 in Maynard, Minnesota, the son of Lubert & Johanna (Eckhoff) Reents. When Kenny was 4 years old, his mother passed away and shortly thereafter, his father passed away. He lived with aunts and uncles for some time before he and his sister Audrey were adopted by his parents Lambert & Anna (Haupt) Bunger. The family lived in Wellsburg and Kenny attended school there, graduating from Wellsburg High School in 1950. After high school, Kenny was drafted into the United States Army in 1953. He completed his basic training in Louisiana and was later stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1955. When returning home, Kenny began his 50 year farming career. For 34 of those years, Kenny farmed together with Al & Donna Blythe. On September 20, 1966, Kenny was united in marriage to Betty Heikens at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple welcomed three children. Along with farming, Kenny started a livestock hauling business around 1980 for local farmers and continued doing so until just recently, when his health began failing.

He was a member of the East Friesland Church, a former deacon, longtime member of the Jolly Boys, lifelong member of the Pine Lake Wildlife & Archery Club, member of the local AMVETS Post No. 91 and had bowled on a league for many years. Kenny enjoyed coffee with friends at the elevator in town, hauling kidsa(TM) fair calves, had a love for cattle and enjoyed playing in a card club with his wife Betty. Kenny loved to fish and go on fishing trips to Canada with friends. What he most enjoyed in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he loved dearly. Kenny had a good sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenny is survived by his wife Betty of Wellsburg; children Karen (Alan) Hildebrand of Earlville, IA, Keith (Kendra) Bunger of Wellsburg and Kevin (Amy) Bunger of Eldora; grandchildren Katlyn, Kristine, Kara & Andrew Hildebrand, Keela & Kassidy Bunger and Ethan & Blake Richie; sisters Audrey Bunger and Lorraine Krausert. He was preceded in death by his parents & adoptive parents; sisters Helen Martins & Edith Henslin and a brother Harold Reents.
