Keith R. Norris, 70, of Eldora, died at his home on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 14th at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora with Pastor Bruce Zimmermann officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Eldora. Visitation is from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, March 13th at Creps-Abels Funeral Home.
Keith was born February 24, 1942 in Marshalltown, Iowa, son of Guy and Mildred (Ayres) Norris. He was raised in the Eldora-Steamboat Rock, Iowa area and graduated with the Steamboat Rock Class of 1960. On September 5, 1959 Keith was united in marriage to Marilyn K. Saint, and to this union were born Joe, Connie and Kristine. Marilyn passed away on October 17, 1990 and Keith was then married to Sharmon Kay Ankrum Payne on February 1, 1991.
Keith worked for about 35 years as manager of the Farm Service Company Hubbard office, but most recently worked at the Iowa State Training School for Boys in Eldora for about 5 years until retiring due to his health. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading westerns.
Those remaining to cherish his memory is his wife, Sharmon of Mesa, Arizona; children, Joe Norris and his wife, Heather of Roland, Iowa, Connie Davidson of Nevada, Iowa and Kris Johnson and her husband, Lynn of Ackley, Iowa; step-daughter, Erika Miller of Hampton, Iowa; brother, Wayne Norris and his wife, Linda of Eldora; and by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 31 years, Marilyn; and twin brother, Kenneth.
