Karen L. Cole, 49, of Eldora, Iowa died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown, Iowa. Services will be held at a later date.
Karen Linn Cole, daughter of Edward and Linda (Mabe) Cole was born July 3, 1965 in Seattle, Washington. She received her education from the Union-Whitten Community School. In 1988, Karen married John Cole at the Eldora United Methodist Church in Eldora. The couple resided in Eldora where Karen worked as waitress at several restaurants in the area. She most recently worked as a home health aide in Eldora. Karen's love and joy was her grandson, Boo. She enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and loved her dogs.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelby (Daniel) Lane of Eldora; grandson, Dakota Edward Lane; Sister, Teri Cole also of Eldora; brother, Pete (Michelle) Cole of Indianola, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
