Jerry Bleeker, 54, of New Hartford, passed away at his home on Friday, November 2nd, 2012. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the New Hartford Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7th from 4 to 7 P.M. at the New Hartford Methodist Church and one hour prior to services at the church. Jerry was born on August 26, 1958 in Grundy Center, the son of Harm "Toby" & Leasa (Sells) Bleeker. The family grew up in the New Hartford area, where Jerry attended school. On February 14th at the age of 17, Jerry began his career working at Viking Pump, retiring after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing, mowing lawns, Eagle watching and eating at Rudy's Tacos but what Jerry truly enjoyed in life was his family and the love he had for his parents, children and his grandchildren. He was a very affectionate person towards all and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jerry is survived by his daughters Sheila (Jesse) Callan of Parkersburg & JoAnn (Josh) Berry of New Hartford; grandchildren Coulton Lyman, Zoie &Tinsley Callan & Allie Berry; brother Danny (Pam) Bleeker of Parkersburg; special friend Kim. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Harm Jerome III.
