Jeanette V. Cirksena, 90, of Dike, Iowa, died Friday October 27, 2006, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Jeanette was born October 10, 1916, near Dike, Iowa, the daughter of George and Emma "Beninga" Alberts. On November 20, 1936 she was united in marriage to Ray Cirksena at her parent"s home near Dike, Iowa. The couple farmed near Dike. On March 29, 1979 Ray passed away. Jeanette lived on the farm until 1980 when she moved to Dike. Jeanette lived in the Dike area all her life. Jeanette was a member of the Lincoln Center Christian Reformed Church, the Ladies Aid, the Senior Citizens, the Christian Women"s Club and the Stitch and Chat Homemakers Club.
She is survived by her three children: Ron and his wife Diane Cirksena of Northfield, Minnesota, Larry and his wife Marilyn Cirksena of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Donna and her husband Ron Joslin of Dike, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ray; her parents: George and Emma Alberts; a step - mother: Pearl Alberts; and a great granddaughter: Trandlynn Petersen.
