March 21, 1917 — March 5, 2014

Jeanette I. Adair, 96, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer, IA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Merlin on March 3, 2014. Jeanette and Merlin were blessed with 75 years of marriage. A joint funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014, 10:30 A.M. at the Reinbeck United Methodist Church in Reinbeck. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 9, 2014, from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Reinbeck United Methodist Church in Reinbeck. Burial will follow funeral services at the Reinbeck Cemetery. Memorial may be directed to the family.
Jeanette Irene was born on March 21, 1917 in Dike, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Lena (DeBerg) Stumberg. Jeanette was united in marriage to Merlin A. Adair on July 26, 1938. To this union two children were born, Curtis and Bea. Merlin and Jeanette owned and operated Adair Feed Supply from 1952-1972 where Jeanette was the bookkeeper.
Jeanette was a life long member of the United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful homemaker, very active in her church, enjoyed golf, playing cards, bowling, and tending to her vegetable/ rose gardens. Her biggest treasure was spending time with her family and friends.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Bea (Dale) Greiner of Reinbeck; grandchildren, Steve (Helen) Adair of Reinbeck, Shelli (Ron) Reab of Hudson, Trevis (Jenn) Adair of Marion, Kim (Jeff) Thesing of Reinbeck, Rita (Mike) Hummel of Conrad and Rodney (Tammy) Greiner of Reinbeck; great-grandchildren; Jeremy (Erica) Thesing, Tara Thesing, Jordan and Tanner Greiner, Sarah(Kyle) Smith, Jacob Hummel, Nicole and Paige Adair, Heidi(Shawn) Murtha, Holli and Hayli Reab, Lauren, Emily and Eli Adair; Great-great grandchildren, Leila and Laken Thesing, Isaac Smith and Harper Murtha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Merlin and son Curtis Adair.
