James (Jim) M. Schueller, 75, of Eldora, Iowa died Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Community Church in Union, Iowa with Pastor Lloyd McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Cemetery in Union, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa.
James Monroe Schueller, son of Charlie and Allie Hodge Schueller was born on October 24, 1940 in Eldora, Iowa. He received his education from the Eldora Community Schools. On June 1, 1959, Jim married Audrey Lee Mabe in Albert Lea Minnesota. The couple resided in Eldora where Jim worked as a fork lift operator for Whink Products for nearly 50 years. His hobbies included, fishing and camping with his family, watching his kids race both oval and figure 8 tracks and demolition derbies. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, Iowa Hawkeye Football, WWE Wrestling on Monday nights, drinking a cold beer with his good friends and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Michael (T.J.) Schueller of Eldora; daughter, Connie (Clarence) Patterson of Marshalltown; 6 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his loving wife Audrey Schueller; daughter, Debra Davis; brother, Larry Schueller and his sisters, Peggy Schobederg and Joyce Reimann.
