James C. Ruby, 88, of Eldora, Iowa died on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Following cremation, private family inurnment will be in the Steamboat Rock Cemetery in Steamboat Rock, Iowa. There will be no public services. James was born May 31, 1924 in Steamboat Rock, Iowa, son of Elmer L. Ruby Sr. and Ima Hoover Ruby. He graduated high school in Steamboat Rock. He was a WWII Veteran serving with the Navy and work for a period for the Eldora News Paper and the Iowa State Training School for Boys in Eldora.
Surviving are brothers, Dean G. Ruby of Santa Monica, California and Charles E. Ruby of Steamboat Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elinore Richeson; and brothers, Elmer L. Ruby Jr. and Gene H. Ruby.
