James "Jim" Nederhoff, 61, of Eldora, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Eldora Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Eldora. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Eldora, with Pastor Mark Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Sheller Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to his service at the church on Monday.
James Alan Nederhoff, son of Henry and Lorraine Cuffel Nederhoff was born on August 10, 1953 in Wellsburg, Iowa. He received his education from the Wellsburg Community School and graduated from Grundy Center High school in 1971. Following his graduation, Jim lived for a while in Marshalltown before moving to Eldora. In his younger years, Jim enjoyed trapping and fishing with his brother, Ron and his father. He was a big sports fan and especially loved the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also enjoyed computers and keeping in touch with his family and friends thru Facebook.
Survivors include his sister, Janet Nederhoff of Eldora; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ron Nederhoff.
