James Long

James Preston Long, age 73 and a resident of Denton, TX, born on April 13, 1937 in Spencer, Iowa to Julius and Gladys Long, passed away on April 4, 2011 at his home in Denton. James is a member of Chinn's Chapel United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army in the Special Forces during Vietnam.

He is survived by wife, Charlotte Long; five children, James D. and Chris Long of Crosby, TX, John and Angie Long of Bellevue, Iowa, Kimberly Plank of Stanford, NY, Kelly and Bart Walden of Corinth, TX and Mark and Eileen Felderman of Davenport, Iowa; and by Thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Kay Long Finch.

A family visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Flower Mound Family Funeral Home in Flower Mound, TX. Funeral services will b held on Friday at 10 am at Chinn's Chapel United Methodist Church.
